“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” fans will immediately recognize Turtle Bay as the backdrop for the 2008 comedy starring Jason Segel and Kristen Bell. The North Shore resort, though, can offer more than just its Hollywood resume—it has also been named one of the top 10 hotels for destination weddings by Destination Wedding Magazine, one of the top 25 hotels in Hawaii by Travel + Leisure, and one of the top 75 golf resorts by Golf Digest.

Each accommodation at Turtle Bay Resort–all 375 guest rooms, 31 suites and 42 beach cottages and resort villas—features views of the Pacific Ocean. Dine in one of the resort’s six restaurants, where you can choose from Asian-inspired island cuisine at 21 Degrees North or an international- and Hawaiian-themed buffet at Palm Terrace.

Hilton Hawaiian Village

Located on Waikiki Beach, Hilton Hawaiian Village refers to itself as a village not only because of its five towers of guest rooms, but also the 90 shops and boutiques on the property, as well as 11 eateries and three bars. Wildlife is bountiful at the village, with daily penguin and turtle feedings, and 22 acres of exotic gardens.

For the full Hawaiian experience, Hilton Hawaiian Village hosts a luau five times a week on the rooftop of the Mid-Pacific Conference Center. The luau includes the traditional feast, as well as a hula-dancing lesson and a conch shell-blowing challenge.

The resort has earned its fair share of accolades, earning the seventh spot on Parents Magazine’s “10 Best Beach Resorts for Families on a Budget,” as well as multiple top 10 hotels in Hawaii awards from Travel + Leisure.
