Cannon Beach and Seaside
Up to two dogs are welcome at Cannon Beach’s Land’s End Motel (landsendmotel.com), where rooms include kitchenettes and balconies with ocean views. Fireplaces and whirlpool tubs are also available in the motel’s one- or two-bedroom guest rooms, and the sandy shores of Cannon Beach are steps away. At the five-story Best Western Ocean View Resort (oceanviewresort.com) in Seaside, pets are welcomed with treats and a local pet-activity guide. Designated pet-friendly rooms with patios are available at the resort, which overlooks miles of white sandy beaches for strolling and fetching. Resort amenities include on-site dining, an indoor pool and spa, room service and business services. Seaside is 19 miles south of the Washington border on Highway 101. Cannon Beach is eight miles south of Seaside.
Lincoln City and Newport
In Lincoln City, the Chinook Winds Resort Hotel (chinookwindscasino.com) offers 49 pet-friendly ocean-view rooms out of 227 room available. Direct beach access is available from the hotel, and amenities include an indoor heated pool and spa, laundry facilities and a shuttle to the nearby casino. Additional nightly fees apply for pets at Chinook Winds. The Elizabeth Street Inn (elizabethstreetinn.com) in Newport permits up to two dogs weighing less than 75 lbs. in its oceanfront guest rooms with a nonrefundable fee. Room types at the inn include family suites, King Jacuzzi rooms, King Northview with views of Newport’s lighthouse and double queen rooms. Lincoln City is 84 miles south from Cannon Beach and 88 miles from Portland. Newport is 25 miles south of Lincoln City on the coast.
Yachats and Bandon
In the coastal town of Yachats, reserve a pet-friendly oceanfront room at the Fireside Motel (firesidemotel.com). Up to two dogs are allowed at the motel, which has access to seven miles of sandy beaches from a .75-mile nearby trail. Towels, sheets and scoopers are provided to pet owners checking in to guest rooms with fireplaces, living areas, refrigerators and microwaves. The Sunset Motel (sunsetmotel.com) in Bandon features six oceanfront ground-floor rooms for pets as well as ocean-view studios and rustic economy lodging. An additional nightly fee applies for pets and direct beach access is available. Yachats is 86 miles west of Eugene. Bandon is located 97 miles down the coast from Yachats.
Located on the southern Oregon coast in Gold Beach, Jot’s Resort (jotsresort.com) has four styles of pet-friendly rooms available, including deluxe rooms with kitchens and one- and two-bedroom condos. Additional nightly fees apply for pets, and the beach is a short walk away from the resort, which is located where the Rogue River meets the Pacific. Resort amenities include an on-site restaurant, tackle shop, boat launch, crab-cooking station and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Gold Beach is located 35 miles north of the California border.
