Rhododendron is an unincorporated community in northeast Oregon and is part of the “Villages of Mount Hood” government that is shared with several other towns. Visitors to the area can enjoy several outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, boating and skiing, as well as the hospitality of several area hotels and resorts.

Snow Line Motel

The Snow Line Motel is located off U.S. Highway 26 and offers travelers pet-friendly accommodations in the Rhododendron area, close to many opportunities for hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities. All rooms are nonsmoking and include coffee, tea and cocoa, free WiFi, DirecTV with free HBO and more than 150 other channels. Rooms with refrigerators and microwaves are available for an extra fee. There’s a small additional fee per pet.

Resort at the Mountain

The Resort at the Mountain offers several accommodation types, including pet-friendly rooms, studios, suites and villas. The resort underwent a $14 million renovation, with a total redesign of the guestrooms, suites and meeting and event facilities. All guestrooms include free high-speed Internet, flat panel televisions and mini-refrigerators, and some accommodation options include private decks or patios, fireplaces, full-kitchens and even a garage. The Resort at the Mountain also offers numerous indoor and outdoor activities, including tennis, golf, swimming, basketball and volleyball. The hotel also has its own cafe, restaurant and bar.

Whispering Woods Resort

Located just 2.5 miles from Rhododendron, the Whispering Woods Resort offers a variety of activities on the premises as well as the opportunity to enjoy the many other activities that Mount Hood provides. Guests stay in condominiums with full kitchens, high-speed Internet, barbecue grills, decks, DVD players, stereos and laundry facilities. On-site activities include golf, swimming, fly fishing, a playground for the children and a fitness center for adults.
